The origin of Sdu dates back to 1577, but its responsibility has always remained the same: providing Dutch legal professionals with relevant, trustworthy information. Back in the day, we did so by printing books. Five years ago, we used classic information retrieval techniques, today we use AI.
With the recent developments in the world of AI, Sdu made the deliberate decision to become the frontrunner of AI development in the legal tech domain. Our product serves a traditional audience with very high standards, is used by thousands of legal professionals on a daily basis, and has to have a near-perfect trustworthiness.
Historically, Sdu has created a large knowledge base, not in the hands of Big Tech, giving us a strategic advantage in a playing field where accuracy matters most. We’re on top of the most recent developments and are often sailing uncharted territories. With a small team of roughly 25 developers (from frontend to devops) and designers, we operate quickly and dynamically within an established company. At Sdu, you’ll be developing RAG workflows with Langchain, deploying (Fast)APIs in our Kubernetes cluster, or building knowledge graphs from our knowledge base to improve our information retrieval.
